A nice little game I found while searching the net
Can you name all the NBA teams?
Basically you have to name all 30 NBA teams and write their team anmes (aka suns, hornets, pistons but not there city names aka detroit, phoenix, new orleans)
See how you go
First time I did it I got 2:45 - forgot the bobcats and bucks - and second time I got 3:47
i know all the teams but when it came to crunch time i could only think of 20!

Couldn't remember the 76ers, Pacers, Jazz, Hawks, Magic in my 5 minutes.

The NBL could consider putting a quiz like this on the various News Ltd newspaper websites (with participants receiving a free ticket to a Sydney Spirit home game as an incentive to participate, ok perhaps a collectors key ring/bottle opener).
Teams that have 100% success rates keep their nicknames next year, teams with 75% come under review (especially if a regional team) and anything less than 50% success is scrapped (more so if names like the Bullets, Kings and Slingers get more mentions).
On my first go I did it in 2 minutes and 17 seconds (which I might add was un-assisted by any print material). I felt like such an NBA geek afterward.

Ah... this is what i used to do to pass the time during lectures at uni...
Sometimes in alph order, other times in conf's...
Here is a question- how many teams names DON'T finish with an S?
ie-
MaverickS
LakersS etc...
