Come Back Phil all is Forgiven
Offence? Get the ball to Schench and hope for the best.
Defence? Where's my colander?
Talented team lacks direction.

Yeah giving it to Schensch was where they really went wrong.

If I'm a tool you must be a nut, you definitely need tightening. The only offence used tonight was as I posted. An NBL quality coaching panel should have more alternatives in their game book than what was on show tonight.
Thank God for Schenscher is all I can say.

Does anyone know what Joey Wright is doing at present?

OP: Rose coloured glasses mate.
Ninnis is a rookie coach. Management had to make a decision at the end of last season, so far it hasn't worked out but we can hope for the best. Tonight's game was painful to watch, but there were some positives i.e. Schenscher playing a blinder.

7 games in with plenty of injurys and every one is an expert at pointing the finger.
Ballinger and Maher out, they never stood a chance.
Did quite well considering...

Schench got the ball tonight because he was able to consistently score. I do not see any thing wrong with an offence that uses someone with a hot hand. We could have tried to isolate him better in the fourth by making it hard for the double team. We also need to learn how to get him the ball when he is being closely gaurded.
Develop other offencive options for sure but when someones hot then give them the ball.

I hope no-one is actually serious about re-instating Phil as Coach. As was stated previously, without Maher and Ballinger, they never stood a chance....

Without a second import (Chappelle was injured) and Maher out and a lesser talented team. Everyone called for and got Phil's head. Double standards?
XstatiK, personal attacks never enhance a debate and descent into profanity only indicates a lack of intellect.

Correct me if i am wrong but didnt Perth have Caporn, Rogers and Robbins missing last night as they have had all season yet they still won.
Changes need to be made real quick to avoid the Chappel excuses of last season.
I am going to say it, cut Ballinger and go after another player.
Last night showed we are ok in the bigs department without him when we had the right rotations on.

pertsonally, cooper out, mottram in, love coops but mottram offers more grunt, we signed ballinger to 3 years, so to pay him would be expensive plus hes naturalising, makes a difference having 3 imports look at perth, redhage hinson and victor

Kent, but Perth have Rogers and Caporn/Robbins replaced by two former starters in Knight and Kendall. Second half we were OK, first was not good. End margin was about what you'd expect considering Ballinger and Maher were out. Needed Tyndale and Bruce to fire but they didn't quite get it going.

Every team will be affected by injuries at some point. They need to learn to cover it and step up.
Dragons defeated the Tigers without Worthington (one of their biggest contriubtors in nearly all statistical categories).
Last night they went on to beat Cairns without Horvath, they are small already but even smaller when you take out one of their two bigs.
Injuries to these big names are the perfect oppurtunity for the younger/up and coming and role players to show their stuff. Not so sure if any of our guys down the roster have that ability to step up. They are great at roles but dont seem to be able to push it when required.
A perfect example of this would be Rupert Sapwell, could go for 5 or 6 points a game and play his role at both ends of the courts, but on his night he could bust out for high teens given some extra court time for whatever reason (be injury or mathcup problems etc.) This season we lack that kind of guy. Look at our bench and tell me anyone of those guys who can go for high teens and make a impact on a game.

Winitana could but barely troubled the scorers unfortunately. Hill was another chance and gave it a shot. Davidson too, but didn't attempt a lot of shots.
I think EC has said this elsewhere, but I thought Burdon could've been worth a run. In the past, Perth have been susceptible to good long range shooters and Burdon would've given us a good spark.

Bake,
"personal attacks never enhance a debate and descent into profanity only indicates a lack of intellect."
I'm sorry but I don't believe a thread about bringing Voldemort back warrants any debate whatsoever so a personal attack (if you wanna call it that?!) was in order.

With skip. Not that I gave Adam's naturalisation a thought, but Adam's a 36er for 3 years, & I'm hoping we can keep him, let alone cut him.
Big Red will move on next season. Count on it.

Are we all losing it .Get fab Phil back . Replace Ballinger as a Aussie he will become our mainstay for many yearsin keeping the scoring going. Even allow few injuries. We need scorers and we dont have them.
Paulo isnt Tyndale is a waste of a import. would been better to signed Kendall when he was free.
Bruce has a long way to go to be a good NBL player before he thinks NBA etc. Schens was huge and good to see we have learnt to pass into a centre.
Scotty was a little shell shocked during first half but got our defensive end working to close Perth down just that we couldnt hit the side of the barn with open shots and tyndale and Bruce had a race to see who could do most turnovers.
Fab Phil was so good that still grovelling for a job

Bretts the man you still pushing the knife into Phil it appears your boy is doing worse perhaps you should coach.
