In the paper today, Boti Nagy wrote that Webber was asked to try and repeat the shot for an article for Adelaide Now with ten shots to see if he could do it again. Nagy writes that although Webber was very enthusiatisc at first he later declined the offer as he fel it best not to further rub salt into the eagles wounds.

Way to go, Andrew Webber. I'm not a Norwood nor Forestville fan but rather a basketball fan in general. But that is perhaps the right way to go about it, not only does it not further rub it into Forestville face even further, but it also takes away the gloss and limelight as what has been portayed as a pure individual moment as what should be portrayed as aan act of team brilliance.

VB, team brilliance is going a little far. Sure, well done for winning but that last shot was hardly team brilliance! Something to celebrate and be thankful for yes, but they were always going to get off a half court shot and the likely hood of it going in would be very slim...more of a fluke i would say....great effort tho to put themselves in a position where they had a shot to win it...cos you never know...stranger things have always happened!

Gee i still feel the eagles hurt tho too. Not having a great game with many of their stars down, to still come back and get in a position where 99 times out of 100 they wouldn't lose, and then when that shot went in....ouch...thats our great game of basketbakk tho isn't it

Anon, Forestville had their chances of putting the game away when it mattered most. Sadly, they seemed to lose it from the three throw line. First Sutton, then Hoban. 0/3 in the dying stages of the match is not good enough, although I do understand the tension and the pressure involved in the critical stages of the match. However, Sutton is a 36ers player and Hoban to join the squad. Hoban was very disappointing in the GF so given that these guys have or will play at NBL level you would have expected more from them when it mattered most.

i totally agree with wat you have said zztop....but it has nothing to do with wat #200949 said. even tho they missed free throws they were still in a position where 99 times out of 100 they would win...no matter wat the events leading up to those last 3.5 seconds were, thats tough to swallow!
