MELHOOPS is from Melbourne I think. New to this forum as of a few days ago.

MELHOOPS -- as others have said, there is a general guide against naming U18 players, unless they have played at a higher level (e.g., Ingles playing ABL). This is at the request of junior coaches concerned as to the impact of public posting on their performance/mindset.

Yeah, Sorry guys. Coaching in MEL (Not U/16 player trying to get named). Good idea, protecting the players, I'll take that on board. I am from MEL, just thought I'd see if I could find out which teams are coming to Melbourne for the Eltham Tournament, so I can get a look at them before we come over for the Norwood Classic in March.

There used to be a forum in Melbourne, before BV put an end to it. Apparently it was full of junior players telling each other how good they were and what they could do with their point of view.

By the way, thoroughly enjoying the site. Hope you don't mind if I keep it touch.

Eltham is generally used as a pre-season tournament for the Melbourne teams and usually attracts more interstate interest than Nunawading. Nunawading is usually on the same weekend as the same weekend as the National Classics, so the best 6 Melbourne teams wont be at Nunawading.

And to answer your Q we are hoping to qualify for the Classic.

I'm no expert, but I just had a quick look at the Grading results just before xmas and Diamond Valley had some good results. Check out this website, it has some info. you might find useful. In all honesty looks like a pretty tough draw.
