NH: Olympic great name repository

Every four years the world stops ... to see what great names the Olympics can produce.

I figure that anytime forumgoers come across a great name, dial up this thread and leave the name in.

Here's a couple of throat-clearers to get it going:

Yoshie Takeshita (juvenile, I know - but like groin shots on Funniest Home Videos, it's still funny)

Taylor Teagarden

PS I'm more than happy if I'm the only person who posts in here. Great names should be appreciated and I'll gladly keep the flame burning.

In a tournament in Japan, the Aussie girls weren't allowed to call her by her nickname of 'Tit's.

Heike Dreschler, geez that's a good sounding name. Bubka. Now I'm just going to start naming athletes at random.....

One of the Australian boxers is named Brad Pitt haha. Also, some sort of Cycling/BMX event is new at the Beijing Games, and one of the Australian competitors has changed his name by deed poll to 'Kamekazi'.

thedoctor, wasn't 'our' (ie the Australian dessert) pavlova named after a famous Russian dancer in the first place? ;)

Found these two Puerto Rican boxers, who, by their DOBs and looks, appear to be identical twins with slightly different weights - and ripper first names:

McJoe Arroyo Acevedo

McWilliams Arroyo Acevedo

Steph Rice has a great name for competing in China. If the games were held at home she could by depoll be Steph Meatpie With-Deadhorse.

London 2012 - Steph Curry? Steph Bangers-Mash.

Bo, how excited would you be if you could get hold of a list of the names of every person on earth. That would keep you amused for years.
