Wow...
pardon my French, but what a money grubbing, selfish little (Mod: I think you meant 'bastard'?).
So he identified that the most profitable and marketable players in the NBA are the ones likely to be selected for the Olympics. Well done. This isn't a problem with the Olympics, it's a problem with NBA players basically being treated as investments.
It only comes around every 4 years. A couple of months training then 2 weeks competition - if you are going to have a superstar on your roster, this should just be something you have to deal with. He sounds like a little kid that won't let anyone else play with his toys. Only child perhaps?

James W - I don't really see that those were Cuban's points at all. His main point was that the Olympics are as much about wanton commercialism as the NBA or any other professional sporting league is. Love Cuban or hate him (personally, I tend to be fairly ambivalent), I think it's a fair point at least. In your own words, Cuban is saying that the Olypmics are as much about "basically being treated as investments" as the NBA... only the Olypmics get the players for free! IMO, the IOC are as much money-grubbing so-and-sos as anyone else out there.
