i agree, lightning need another big/tall player, and a point guard. with erin leaving, they are huge boots to fill. seems like a lot of other teams are signing people so they might want to hurry things along otherwise they will miss out.
Rumour is that Mahony might be staying. I hope they secure Richards before her tho!
Have they signed Truslove as yet,paper suggested they were close last week.
Has Fryters signed for this season?
Without these 2 they would lack some height.
Do you think Truslove and Fryters are up to standards to go against the bigs in the WNBL?
If Fryters is given the chance i think she'll surprise a few people! The minutes she was given last season she managed to put up good numbers (points and rebounds). She has been playing great in the SEABL with as good a numbers as any of the WNBL bigs. If she is fit, she will be a great fit for team. The girls has game, heart and a hell of alot of commitment to her game.
Truslove had similar stats against Tracey Beatty a few weeks ago which would suggest she would go alright against the bigs in the WNBL.

Get your facts straight Champ, she did retire and said so on national TV at the WNBL final and in the change rooms after the game.Fact is that she loves all the attention from the media and people like you.Now she is telling everyone that the club talked her into playing on after she was bitching up that the club had not spoken to her about a new contract after the season.

Forget Bowley - been there, done that
Richards and the other girl from Perth would be great pickups for the Ligthing.Dont think club can have both Bowley and Fryters in there rotation .Regards Mark
