Nunawading far stronger than Eltham both in girls and boys. Eltham are becoming stronger in girls but through poaching, even though Nunawading are not angels in this department.

If ya go to Eltham u usally get all the vic teams to yourself.
Later in the year you're bound to play 1 or 2 SA teams
I played in Ballarat one year 2 vic teams, 3 SA ones. It was the last time we went to Ballarat.

I would want to play all new teams - however if we played 4-5 competitive minor round ko games - i would be happy.
have heard some grades at Nunawading have been all SA teams - that does not turn me on much

Eltham is easily the better carnival - Nunawading can turn into a farce - I decided not to enter my U16 boys in there 2 years ago, and lucked out - of the 6 team draw, 4 were South Aussie, 1 was Nunawading, and 1 was a Vic Country Rep Team from near the border that got whacked every game by 50+, two SA teams in the final.

Sorry, Yes Eltham is the better carnival. Been a few times and played 5 games each carnival and never played a SA team.Bloody hot though.

thanks - I'm thinking seriously about taking my girls to Eltham in 2006 rather than Nunawading. However a lot will hinge on how Nunawading goes this year.

Different times of the year. I would say eltham is a great carnival to come back from the break. I would think that you still need a carnival in June. Saying that it does get expensive for parents.

in '04 we were a div 2 team and we went to nunawading and played 3 sa teams and played 3 vic teams (2 different dandenongs). The three SA teams were all Div 1 teams and they were really close and good games. we beat one Sa team, lost to another by 1 and the other game we lost i think was 2 points.
It was great mixing it up against div 1 sides to see where we were at.
