Boti for Commish

Particularly liked Boti's article in The Advertiser today, P85 regarding the dream of revitalising the NBL. Liked the idea of free-to air broadcasting with games "on the net".
Especially liked the notion of "Wayne Jackson on board as Commissioner . And an independent management board."
All in all, liked the lot. A great dream if you could get it.

Boti would come and fail just like most at that management level, it needs cash and leverage to fix most of the problems. Great reporter but!

Was Eddy Groves on the BA Review committee?

Sounds like it will come in the high side of expenses for the clubs that still exist?

BA review will just add cost, so watch other clubs feel the pinch when implemented.

Boti is like most of the forums goers here; we know enough to warrant making a great league, but have little or no business sense to run one and no cash to support the idea.

Boti needs to get into being a spokesperson for the NBL and should join Carfino and JC to do commentary. Setup some sort of TNT halftime show scenario.

He would stuff that up just like he stuffed up the state league when he wanted to establish a state wide competiion and have teams play against Renmark. All that did was cost the clubs money and what benefit was there? Sure get Jackson in. He is used to having mega resources through the SA Brewery and the AFL. Ask him to solve the problem of basketball in a cash strapped sport. Good business man in his environment.
Lets go back to the future. Talk with some of the officials and people who made the sport. Whats Mal Simpson got to say about it? We need the people who got the sport to its heyday not the latter day experts who saw its fall.
