X-factor players of all time.

I'm talking about guys who's stats don't jump out at you , but they seem to have an aura that lifts a team.
Players with a mystique and an edge, that frustrate the hell out of coaches and fans alike.
I'm not talking about consistant production, i'm talking swagger, i'm talking nasty when you wake them up. The "Alpha-Baller"

1/ Shawn "the Reign-man" Kemp. I bet all the young sonics used to follow him round the gym, asking if he wanted anything, while Gary played by himself. Victim of the lockout and coke.

2/ Rasheed Wallace. Stats are nothing compared to the other top PF's in the L. But when its important, i'd have Rasheed ahead of a frightened Garnett, and tied with Duncan.

3/ Josh Smith. The next generation. Has the same intangibles that you just can't coach against. How many break away layups is this guy gonna reject in his career?

Jordan would have to be the top of the list wouldn't he?

Could take over any game against any opposition at any time he chose.

Well by definition an X factor isn't one of the best players on the court, their performance is considered a given in the outcome of a game. X factors are players who if they step up provide that little 'X'tra to a team to affect the outcome. I'd go with:

Boris Diaw
Derek Fisher
Deshawn Stevenson
Rafer Alston
J.R Smith

...to name a few

Please!! All hail timmy duncan. what a joke. constantly complaining. in his eyes, he's never fouled anyone. We all know the real reason behind san antonio championships....... Vinny Del Negro. thats right. i said it. Greatest spur ever.

Don't discredit the influence a champion like will purdue had on those spurs teams. He teaches the value of facial safety while reminding us of gomer pile.

I would say RObert Horry will be one of the few HOF players with a scoring avg lower then 7

But like posted those 7 points will probably come in the last 3 min of the game in the playoffs!

Quagmire, that's gold!

Robert Horry is HOF? Really? Serious?

If not only for missing a dunk and whilst hanging on the ring, reaching back and tip jamming his own miss, anyone know if that footage is on YouTube?

i think this comes from the same vid where kevin brooks dunks after going round his back while playing for the nuggets. Its hard to make out coz the credits are rolling but it worth checking out, if only to hear marv albert saying his name. (be-atch)

Um, Dennis Rodman anyone?

I'd also mention someone like Matt Barnes, when he is at his best (most of this past NBA season he hasn't been, unfortunately)
