Now that NBA 07-08 season is basically over...

Needless to say, this season will probably go down in history as one of the best... but could it be the cake of talking about the greatest the NBA has to offer?

22 game winning streak by the Rockets that came out of nowhere.

Re-emergence of the Lakers and Celtics out of no man's land last year. They're the heads of their respective conferences.

Revitalization of the Hornets and CP3 surpassing both Nash and Kidd as the best PG in the league.

Re-emergence of the Lakers and the Celtics out of no man's land last year. They're at the heads of their respective conferences.

A Western conference where 48 wins won't get you a playoff position, and 10 teams have more than 40 wins.

An Eastern conference where having more loss than wins somehow gets u a playoff position :O

A relatively strong draft class, including the likes of Durant, Horford, and Mike Conley.

Multiple block-buster trades that shatters the long-standing label of "NBA = No Balls Association." A totally unthinkable and unexpected Shaq trade that was highly criticized but turned out for the better. Kidd finally traded away from the Nets but results in an unexpected 11 game losing streak against the West's best. Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown and others. Mike Bibby to the Hawks, Big Ben and Wally World to Cleveland.

One of the better dunk contests of modern all-star game history, including superman Dwight Howard, and the non-dunk.

3 potential MVP candidates at this point in the season with one of the most competitive races for the award in history (CP3, Kobe, KG).

Numerous record tying or setting moments like Utah's home court winning streak.

Not to mention that the MVP race has a guy averaging 30/8/7 barely rating a mention as the season wraps up!

Couldnt agree more... definately one of the best in years.

Just annoying that ESPN are going to screw their Australian viewers once again with minimal coverage until the Finals.

Those options explain why Utah appears to be tanking their game vs the Spurs. If they win they are guaranteed to play either Phoenix or San Antonio if they lose they most likely play Houston.

Hmm... which would you prefer?

Just found this on ESPN:

"The Warriors did accomplish one feat, becoming the first team in 17 years to have three players average 20 points per game. Davis finished at 21.8, Ellis at 20.2 and Stephen Jackson at 20.1. The Warriors were also the last team to do it in 1990-91, when Mullin (25.7), Mitch Richmond (23.9) and Tim Hardaway (22.9) pulled off the trick."

Do I need to change my name to Run SMB?
