ABL Players of the Week

According to the Central ABL website Cayla Francis and Keith Krause haved been named Player of the Week for Round 1.

Well done to both.

Personally I think Martin was very unlucky to miss the womens POTW. IMO her 26 and 14 against the Bowleys and Langford is superior to Francis' 32 and 21 against Centrals.

I was also suprised to see that Matty Clarke didn't even get a mention for his near triple double (although you could use the same argument as above - Krause played the defending champs and Centrals played the wooden spoon favourites in the Mavs)

BTW - We was Keith last time he played North? Those numbers would have been handy in a game that REALLY mattered!

I would be very dubious about the stats in the game Centrals v Eastern.

Apparently approx 70% of the made baskets (both teams) were off direct assists.... very unlikely.

Combine that with Watson getting 9 assists in a game.. again unlikely... especially since Younie went down he would have been expected to jack it up, not give it off.

I may be wrong but it doesnt reflect 99.9% of ABL games.

Jye had seven or more assists in four games last season for Eastern. Not denying that the stats could be a little off, but I wouldn't base too much of the argument on his having dished nine. e.g., you're expecting that he would've jacked up shots, but he went 6/8 from the field - reckon those numbers are wrong too?

as stated elsewhere by many, ABL stats were a schmozzle, so take all stats as a grain of salt (ala Cayla's 21 rebs and no defensive 1s???)

No one would beat Cayla she in the favour of with EVERYONE it wouldn't matter what anyone else did they only look at Cayla.

Well done Martin it would hasve been a harder match.
