Murray Bridge have been the stand out team all season and good on them, On a negative and isn't there always, I have to say however the coaches Scott Fisher style 1.30 to go timeout against Mt Gambier was just arrogant and disrespectful.

Not the kids fault they were outstanding.

I personally know the coach Tony Prosser congratulations to him. If you truly new the coach and his wife Judy they are held in the highest order from parents in Murray Bridge and Mount Gambier. I am a parent of one of the under 16 boys, during the first day they did not gel and played in patches like individuals.On Sunday all boys played as a team and this was credit to the coach. Tony uses his bench better than any other coach that is why Bullets under 16 boys won as they were still relatively fresh.

So you think an in your face timeout is good form 20 points up minute and a half to go?

There were no subs made what other reason would there be?

The guy has genuinely prepared a champion team for this tournament season and needs to be congratulated for that, and he certainly had my respect for all but the last 2 minutes, it just wasn't neccessary.

A good coach in charge of outstanding players just doesn't need to do that sort of thing.

I do not agree that Bullets were the stand out team, I personally thought that Great Southern and Strathalbyn were the more fancied teams. Both have dominant scoring big men that play SAC for many years. In most sports the best players even themselves out it is the improvement of the team that gave Bullets the Championship, they were less predictable in who was going to shoot the ball. Get a copy of the score sheet Bullets in both Finals against GS and Strath had 8 of the 10 score, I bet you only 3 people scored for the other team. I am also sure if you question Tony he probably had a purpose for the timeout, if you thought he was arrogant I am positive that was not his intension.

And I'm sure Scott Fisher had good intentions when he did the same thing to Townsville.

I like you probably would have backed Great Southern to go all the way also given their size and athleticism but after watching Bullets demolish their way through the Millicent and Mt Gambier tournaments Only the badly mistaken would write them off there is some genuine talent in that side.

It isn't my intention to compare the bullets with any other team, I only had one issue to comment on and I still think it's relevant.
I genuinely believe that Coaches need to be aware of the sportsmanship example they set even in the heat of competition. On this occasion you guys could have done a little better. It wasn't the way they won or the way they played, it's the little things that people remember. Maybe no-one else noticed and I'm oversensitive so be it.

point taken hood 67, I have had many dealings with Mount Gambier basketballers and parents and they play the game hard and fair. Many a friendship between Bullets and MOunt Gambier families will continue, I will make the coach is made aware. I too was offended when I saw Scott Fischer call a time out when he did.
