NCAA Tourney

NCAA have just released the teams selected for the 2008 tourney.

There are 5 teams with Aussies in contention:

Washington State #4 Seed - EAST
Vanderbilt #4 Seed - MIDWEST
St. Mary's #10 Seed - SOUTH
Arizona #10 Seed - WEST
Baylor #11 Seed - WEST

Baylor was the last team picked for the tourney. AB at least gets to bow out as a senior at the big dance, even if he has had a disappointing season.

Wazzu & Baynes face #13 Wnithrop in first round
The 'Dores & Ogilvy take on #13 Siena
The Gael's with Mills, Hughes & Walker encounter #7 Miami
The Wildcats & Dillon meet #7 West Virginia
The Bear's & Bruce take on #6 Purdue

Should be a great tourney this year with a few teams with genuine claims.

Love to see Patty and AJ do well. Heard most of the games are being televised on ESPN here in Australia. Is anyone able to confirm this?

At least one big name player wont have much of a chance to impress. Southern Cal play Kansas State in the first round meaning one of OJ Mayo and Michael Beasley will be watching the rest of the tourney from the sidelines.

Hmmmm, how are Baylor the last team picked if they are a #11 seed? Aren't the last two teams picked the teams that playoff on Wednesday for a spot in the final 64?
