Cant wait to here him back on NBA telecasts. A classic mixture of detailed statistics, observations on top of observations, dramatic pauses and enough 'now here's the things' to sink a ship. His first telecats from MSG would probably sound a little like this (read aloud in a voice that sounds like Jack Nicholson in a Few Good Men):

"The Knicks...struggling...third last in the league in field goal percentage given up... but here's the thing... their also bottom five in blocks, steals and rebounds....Now this is big...but here's the thing...their also shooting 37% from the field....which is the lowest they've shot since the Van Gundy era"

Hubie is a legend, it's great to see him back in the commentary box. I remember a game between Golden State and Phoenix when after Tim Hardaway hit a 3 to tie it late in the game Hubie yells out "You know it's a HUGE shot because it was taken by a guy who only attempts three 3 pointers a game!"

Gold!

PS I was playing for Philly at the time.
