Maher diagnosis revised from 1 to 5 games

Tough news for the 36ers and right when it was needed least. Facing a stretch of challenging games in a reasonably compressed space, the team has had news that Brett Maher's calf injury is worse than first thought.

The diagnosis that suggested he could play in Friday's game in Wollongong has been revised and now suggests he may be out for at least two weeks.

That would keep him out of tonight (Perth), Friday (in Wollongong), the Bullets in Brisbane, the Tigers in Adelaide and the Taipans in Cairns.

What a blow, just as the boys were hitting form going into the last stretch. We played well without Maher being a major contributor so it isn't as bad as my first thought. timing really sucks.

The cross legged bald guy will be able to use Mahers injury as an excuse ......but in reality he shouldn't as Brett hasn't played anywhere close to a full season for 4 years and is really almost expected.
