West Adelaide - Typical

Recently, West Adelaide forfeited a reserves game. This is disappointing for a club with such a strong tradition.

I believe the club is fined by BASA as well.

No attempt was made to find alternative players. I know for a fact that there are plenty of u/20 boys and div3 Men who would have played if asked.

I believe this scenario is typical of the direction the club has taken in recent years.

Not good enough West.....

Look at their u/21 girls, they've forfeited 3 matches so far this season, yet they've entered div 1 and 2 teams.

Good point, but I'll give them a bit of leeway there. Every club has had difficulty filling u/20's at some point, seems like the year that alot of people give it away. Bit stupid running two teams though.

No excuses in men's though. All it would have taken was a couple of phone calls. One from the coach to a player, than a team would have been organised in minutes. I'm not sure who we forfeited to, but it's not the point. I can't imagine this happening under Peter Ali, or David Spear for that matter..

West U14 girls

No division one team
Div 2
Five losses and 3 forfeits

Going to Pt Adelaide on a saturday only to find the game has been forfeited is crap.

Get your act together or pull the teams out, quit wasting everyone elses time.

sounds like a bit of bad planning - left hand not knowing whjat right hand is doing - look at the succesful clubs - they are running u18s up in their reserves / abl / div whatever in the seniors
