Another Dunk of the Year candidate

Spotted this via OzHoops on the Taipans' site.

Is this dunk of the year?

Hit the link above for the full set, especially to see Larry Abney's reaction at poor Matt Knight. The photo before the dunk itself, I thought "How the hell is he going to reach the ring from there?"

Anyone else think that it's been a decent NBL season to date in terms of dunks? Ballinger's had a couple of classics, Ere's had two great ones, Mottram's had a few, Greene had a nice one on debut, etc.

I'm still quite partial to Motts' fallaway jam.

That crowd (?). FFS, the stats bench had better be season ticket-holders, or the future looks dim for West Sydney.

If NBL crowds are metaphors for people in that photo, West Sydney is Matt Knight to the Sixers' Nathan Jawai.

I also like the photographer's name. It sounds something Gilbert Arenas would come up with as a new 'Hibachi'-like catchcry.

On the other hand, this guy's name probably doesn't.

Gilbert Arenas is rapidly becoming irrelevant. Has more catchphrases than wins these days.

Arenas and Paul Shirley have nothing on Rod Benson.

Remind me again of Rod Benson's NBA winning percentage? :)

They all have their place: Gilbert more or less at the pinnacle of his profession, Rod the wannabe at base camp, and Shirley as the unathletic white dude sitting halfway up some adjacent mountain.
