I've actually been a member of that site for a while now so my upload/download ratio is fine.

it dosnt take long to get ur uploads up though (depending on connection) just grab some of the recent freeleach games and share em out.

Sliced Cheese, by clicking on upload torrent you are actually choosing to share something new, you dont need to do that.

The whole upload/download ratio is about downloading a file and sharing it (thus uploading). Download some of the newer freeleach and even when u have finished downloading them leave them running for others to download off you (this is you uploading).

What are the chances of picking up a trojan or something nasty on an NBL torrent file?

Billo, very slim. I live by torrents and am yet to get a virus from one.

If anything the one's you have to look out for are the KeyGen's etc.

Less likely while getting an NBL torrent than an NBA torrent or a mainstream movie. Pay strict attention to what you're download, especially file extensions, and you improve your chances of staying clear. I'm assuming you have your machine set to show file extensions. Stay away from an EXEs and the like, if that's not obvious advice!

Thanks guys. Bizzy, funny you mention keygens, was toying with the idea of trying to get one for Adobe Lightroom but after a bit of looking around and reading user comments I decided to take the legit route and just pay for it.

My search for the keygen had sort of put me off torrents but now that I can get some Sixer games they're suddenly pretty appealing again!

DJ, how do you upload things you haven't downloaded from that site? For example, I've got a few NBA All Star games up my sleeve, how could I upload them? (by the way, thanks for answering all these question from everyone!)

I've never actually uploaded anything new - just shared what is already availalbe. Before uploading anything new check that it isnt already there as there is nothing worse than 2 or 3 versions of the same game thus spreading out the seeders, much better to have more seeders on one torrent.

Had a quick look and AFAIK you just click on upload select torrent file and enter in all descriptive information. Perhaps you have to be a certain level of user to upload new files?

I just downloaded the Adelaide@NZ game and in the proccess uploaded 44 MB. So, according to my calcualtions, another 158 games to reach 7GB and get promoted!!! Bloody hell! I thought you said it was easy DJ.

Probably. Remember to just leave it in there and it can keep uploading long after you finish. Depending on your bandwidth allowance through your ISP, you could leave it running overnight.
