Tigers should start Steve Hoare in his place
Muursepp had to be the worst import in the league i have ever seen

oh man thank god this guy got dumped, how the hell did he play in the nba...
he cant finish shots or layups, his rebounding is average, his attitude sucks, if he feels he got fouled and it goes unwhistled he will smack someone in the other team leading him to foul trouble.
bye bye muursepp, thankyou tigers

Is he still allowed to start in the all-star game. The 'fat controller' certainly wasted his money firstly by recruiting him and then making sure he started as an all-star. So he plays it can be called the 'all-star flop' game (I know that wasn't very good).

Beats me how he managed to play NBA or Euroleague. It was a joke that he was included in the All Star Game, let alone as a starter. Gizzard is much more deserving. The bad news is the Tigers will pick up a new import and will probably become even stronger.

Don't forget, he was only being paid $50K (according to the Tigers) What sort of quality import are they going to get for that unless they cook the books and that is only allowed in the eastern states!!!!!!!

ahaha!
I so wanted this to happen, but didn't see it coming.
This season is the saga of the imports..so many firings.
But in a roundabout way, it just goes to show how talented and competitive the league is. Being from another country doesn't mean stuff all anymore, if you can't play your ass gets canned...and as we've seen from Sydney, being an import doesn't even gaurantee you a spot in the starting 5.

Wasn't it Anstey who was responsible for bringing Muursepp to the Tigers? If so, you'd think he would recognise a good player when he sees one.

Yea your so right James W, been an import is not like it used to be. If your not playing your game, you'll be shown the door. It shows it doesnt matter about past credentials e.g NBA or Euroleague experience
The NBL is getting to the point where Imports are just regular players. When Dontayne Draper came into the Kings he didnt get much burn, even though he had played in the NBA Summer League.
Maybe the NBL is stronger than we think. Personally i think it is if teams can cut players like Muursepp even though they have played NBA etc.

Max, correct - there is not as great a gap as people might often think. Penney played in the NBA but Maher showed him up in Adelaide. Fuller got dumped while Burston still has a gig and gets reasonable numbers. Muursepp struggled, but Hoare puts up efficient stats. Jawai is arguably performing better than Abney. Ingles and Holmes are two of the better players for the Dragons, probably ahead of both imports?
Just comes down to the import positions being more flexible and opening up teams to a greater talent pool.
