There clearly is no player more valuable to the 36ers than Brett Maher. He doesn't just put up greats numbers but makes the team so much better and gets his teams Ws. Ballinger is also a likely candidate, however. He has consistently delivered 20 points and 7 rebounds every night.
Looks like the thing that happened to jordan in the nba. Nobody voted for him because they took his amazing performances for granted. He has been injured for a bit but don't forget Mahersy!

Really only three options:
Ballinger - 20.2 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 1.5 APG (15 games)
52%, 29% 3P, 83% FT
Maher - 18.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 4.3 APG (10 games)
50% FG, 48% 3P, 82% FT
Davidson - 15.3 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 4.7 APG (11 games)
43% FG, 36% 3P, 87% FT
All very reliable from the line. Maher from the field and three is really impressive for a guard.
Ballinger is definitely the frontrunner for now, but if Maher puts in some big games over the rest of the schedule could challenge (maybe even go co-MVPs).
All three have been really very good. Davidson is up from 10 PPG last year, and 0.56 SPG to 1.73 SPG.
Do the 36ers choose their MVP from the NBL coaches votes? Or do fans, coaches, etc. have a say?
I had heard they took the voting from all coaches after each game - this takes the control element out of it for the sixers.

Ballinger MVP,remember Maher and Davidson have both been injured this season so Balls be ahead on the vote tally at this point,It will be close voting this season, providing Balls doesnt get injured or have a bad patch during season.

MMMmmmm,
MVP?
someone who has played every game and not fouled out,
regularly draws double teams,
first and last option in the offence,
18th in the league in rebounds,
16th in the league in blocked shots,
11th in the league in scoring,
leads the team with 303 minutes played,
83 % from the foul line,
what's his name....
its on the tip on my tongue.....

And Ballinger Fan he should be a lot higher in boards, points, assists everything! Smyth and the 36er boys just aren't using him to his full potential, he was putting up insane numbers with the Hawks! His numbers are still good don't get me wrong but if used properly they can be much, much higer

true boom patrol, he's capable of a lot more, especially rebounding. he's still MVP easily.
Ok we've heard jokes about Burdon, Dench and Chappell as MVP possibilities please no one say Dodman.

I didn't realise that Maher was shooting such high shooting percentages - well up on previous seasons. Pretty remarkable given that you are supposed to slow down with age making it harder to shoot good percentages. (see Chappell)
