Maher in last night's game

Thought Brett looked pretty comfortable considering he was coming back from injury - thoughts? Anyone know how he pulled up?

Played 36 minutes.

How stupid were they not to start him.

He has been training all week and plus coming off a calf you wouldnt want him to sit on bench after warm up to let it cool down.

I would have started him and Davidson, using Burdon to give them a bit of spell when they asked for it.
And used Ng in Chappells spot.

It should not even need to be debated.

If Brett is fit, he starts. End of argument.

Looked good, prob missed a couple of crunch shots he would normaly make but understandable with recent injury. just good to see a full strengh team.

HAHAHA. Yeah, play Ng in the 3 spot. When we are playing a zone.

Once he got a rythm he looked great. Missed that staright on 3 towards the end, but besides that 'layup missed' looked just fine. Had more against them last night off a calf injury than he did at full strength in Sydney earlier this season. Reckon thats pretty impressive.

Brett asked to play last week for a bit of match fitness, which would have been good.
And, so if Ng can't play at three, then we've only got Chappell? and Copelands minutes.

He wasnt in the starting 5 because they wanted to wear out the kings a bit before Maher was on. That was their theory anyway whether it worked is a different story.....

I wouldnt have started Maher, its obvious by the way he played at the beginning aswell. They started him with a few minutes to get into the game and extended his time on more and more each time.
The decision to not start him did NOT loose the game, infact its probaly part of the reason he has not reinjured himself, being that he has been prone to do this lately.

But ofcourse people here dont thing about the bigger picture, its all about blaming smyth
