The Academy team should belt the Rockets realistically, no Rychart, no rockets....
Plus who will they have from last year's grand final team playing on Saturday? No Rychart, Hambour, Zorich, Burdon (unlikely) so that leaves, Rowe, Mapunda, Leif Burdon, Kies, Collins and Whittleson depending on which team he suits for.

Disagree with no Rychart no Rockets, dont forget the big contributors across the floor in the Grand Final, but do agree that the Academy should win.
If they suit the team they have been using in the summer season then it will be one sided.
One would think Eze Burdon would play, surely Smyth would want him to get some game time under his belt since he has sat for all bar 10 mins of the year.
Hopefully him and Zorich will play and make it good to watch.

They had 6 in total invited

Mapunda
Whittleston
L Burdon

who all accepted it
plus

Rowe
Zorich
Kies

who turned it down

I believe Mapunda, Burdon and Whittleston will be playing for the Rockets this weekend.

Actually, they only had four total invited originally:

Kies
Rowe
Zorich
L.Burdon

Those first three delcined, and Whittleson was selected in their place. Mapunda was originally selected as a Woodville player but has since moved back to North which is why no current Warrior players are involved this year.

The 36ers Academy defeated the North Adelaide Rockets 80 to 61.
Both teams had key players missing but a quality affair ensued nonetheless with the 36ers Academy paced by 19 points from Zane Reeves.
Reeves was a constant thorn in the Rockets side from both inside and outside and was ably supported by Shane Boal (17 points), Chris Molitor (16), Brad Bungey and Phil Brown (10 each).
Particularly pleasing for the 36ers Academy was its defensive endeavour with young gun Andrew Braham a first half standout.
The Rockets were led by solid performances by Leif Burdon (14 points) and Tom Rowe (16).
