What is the rule about having an arm bar on your man when defending in the post. Are you allowed to?

Yes you are able to defend with a legal arm bar in the post provided the offence has there back to the basket.

If the offence is facing, then no arms permited.

Believe so - you are allowed to have it flat but you are not allowed to extend it

When a player is posting up on you, you can use one arm bar at about 45% to the floor only when the player has his back to you.

Like wow says, once the offensive player turns and faces you - there can be no contact apart from body-body.

Note - two arm bars, two hands, an open palm, extending the arm bar higher or out of your cylinder should be assessed a foul.
