Let district kids in free for every home game

Want to get more people to Sixers Home Games. Offer District/ church Kids etc. free entry like a couple of seasons ago. We never went at all until we were introduced through this. New kids to the sport can make their parents take them along...then they get hooked etc. etc. Bums on seats cheering loudly can bring any team over the line !

Spinner....As if a new kid to the sport is going to get his parent to buy a season ticket straight off....Let the kids in free and the $$ adults will come too...maybe a season ticket holder of the future!.

What about a couple of games a year where this happens rather than every game - bit of a compromise?

Yeah, good idea but like Isaac said, just do it for a few games each year. Get new people to games and get them hooked. Everytime I've taken someone who's new to the 36ers has loved it!

From memory the Adelaide 36ers held a District night last year when any junior wearing club attire received a free ticket.

While I agree that it's a great idea and was definately the loudest crowd for the whole of last season in my opinion there is a limit to how far people should expect the club to go.

Everyone needs to remember that the 36ers are now a privately owned business and not a team run by the state governing body so things are a lot different to years gone by.

The Adelaide 36ers have reduced children's prices to as little as $7.00 which I think is a fantastic price.

While I understand what you're trying to say I think in this instance the club is already doing a fair bit.

Privately owned club or not - it still has 3000+ empty seats at games and needs new customers. Staging it every now and then and using it to publicise the kids ticket prices this year would be worth trying.

Agree re $7 being a good price-point - I think their family pricing is very good this season.

Reading the heading I wasn't sure if this thread was about spectators or players!

the 2 for 1 ticket offer a couple of seasons back was the best way i thought. lots of my mates that dont play bball got into it for $10 tickets but arent so keen now they $20 tickets.

why not do this, there not losnig any money.. if there are 3000 seats free every other night there is no point ruining a crowd for every game. letting people in for free it will be better more income.. more food sales more merchandise (maybe)

this is a great idea honestly, not every game but like once a month

How is that fair to the clubs loyal members though?

Part way through the season offer anyone a free ticket while the members who have paid year after year get nothing.

Every ticket has to be worth something otherwise you'll struggle to get anyone to agree to buying memberships for the season. And that money is what keeps the club operating.
