Smyth: Anger will fuel us this week

After a frustrating loss to new NBL franchise, Gold Coast Blaze, Adelaide coach Phil Smyth says that the team will channel their anger in training this week.

"We all have to accept responsibility for what's going on," Smyth said. "We all accept it's been a tough start to the season for us but enough is enough.

"We had a chance to move forward on Saturday and we didn't take it."

The 36ers play New Zealand on Saturday night. The Breakers went 0-2 on the road this weekend against the Tigers and Dragons and will be hosting the Brisbane Bullets on Thursday night.

Breakers will be coming off a Thursday game against the Bullets and will be as ripe for the picking as we're likely to catch them IMO.

The annoying thing about this season in 3 games but under 6 points, thats soo god damn minimal, and last game well Ng you lost that for us. Worst shot choice in NBL history

Say he didn't take that shot - we still had to hit a three (far from a gimme), then stop them scoring in the final second, and then win in overtime with two starters on five fouls. Saying that he lost it is pretty harsh.

Totally agree Isaac. Skud were you listening in on the last timeout? Did you ever think that maybe Ng was just doing what he was told? And to say that he "lost the game for us" is an absolute joke! Anyone that knows the least bit about basketball would know that there are 48 minutes that make up the game. If it was simply all about the last play why bother playing the other 47 and 1/2 minutes?

Yeah lets pin it on a player for one bad shot .
Ng was instrumental in the comeback against Sydney and inspirational with some plays against the blaze .

If you want to get on someone regarding shot selection look no further than Copeland . Sure he should be used for instant offence but he needs to understand that he is 42 not 32 and can not get away with the force up runners and floaters that he used to .
When in the flow and feet set he is still deadly .

He shoots us out of as many games as he keeps us in which is why he should be used as a spark only when we need him and not when we are up by 16 like the weekend
We needed to settle down the offence and he just kept slinging . It becomes contagious ala the days of Charles Thomas and those are days to forget .
