As mentioned already in other threads, Brad Davidson is a bit sore from a strain and may not play his regular minutes in this game.

This might be useful for those hoping to listen in to the game:

Game tonight will be broadcast on 990AM in Perth from 6.45pm.

Live Radio (you will need Winamp or similar player to listen)

And here are the NBL's live scores.

Game over, Perth 95 - 91.

Redhage with 40 points but from 40 attempts. I have never heard of anything like it!

Not a bad effort from the Sixers, obviously missed Davidson in the second half. Also no return to the court from Motts, don't understand? I thought the result would have been worse for the Sixers all in all.

Apologies to Dench for my earlier comments. He was far from our worst. Nothing to write home about though.

Actually, no real highlight performances from the Sixers, and only lost by 4. If only somebody could learn how to shoot!

How do you rate that game? Coughed up 40 to a (surprise surprise) small forward, but got within basically a bucket (ignoring last couple of FTs) on the road while Davidson missed the latter part of the game. Chappell was again luckless from the field, but then again, pretty much everyone in the game was. Had a bunch of turnovers, but outrebounded a decent frontcourt and didn't give up a load of offensive boards despite Perth shooting poorly. 41 three point attempts?

Just concentrate on the next game and a decent eight day gap until they need to play in NZ?

Not sure if its been mentioned, but Redhage set a new club record with those 40 attempts on shot over taking James Crawford's 36 back in 1987. Also equaled the highest amount of shot attempts taken against the 36ers by any player.

id rather see dench get his 9 points inide the paint not on the 3. 9 3 point attempts is terribe for a 7 footer. he should be banging inside and eating players like luke martin 4 entree.
Dont get me wrong i like the guy and think he has great potential but thats a stat that surely has to be fixed. he can shoot granted but surely theres a better option. how about setting some big screens or a pick and roll for the easy bucket and if that doesnt work at least bang into a few poeple and make them hurt and earn the win. lets get physical should be playing all training until he gets it.
just a vent as that stat line is rediculous

Come from behind..........we were also a fair way behind at some stages of the game too. We did a decent job considering it looked as if the Sixer's thought getting the ball though the hoop wasn't the object of the game and Redhage is one of the top 5 players in the league.

Take a look at the boxscore. The live stats showed Redhage with 40 FGA and both teams shooting 33% or worse.

Reality is Redhage was 16/24 and Adelaide shot 40% to Perth's 48%. I think they need to look at their code.

Adelaide only had 31 three point attempts, not 41 and most of the guys shot reasonably well rather than what the live stats had us believing.

Forget about my previous post based on the wrong stats - sounds like they did well and mostly got beaten by hot shooting from Redhage and Crawford. Narrow loss over in Perth wouldn't have Smyth unhappy IMO.

Awesome game tonight folks, 36ers fought hard and were a good chance right to the finish, ...reading this thread, no mention made a a very very good DEFENSIVE game...yes..true..the 36ers played solid D, percentages were down all night...with even Brett having an off night.

My first sighting of Chappell..very interesting... made some great positions..did some good defensive work..BUT, the shooting hurt us big time...and watching him run onto court...that back looks seriously damaged?

All in all...proud to be a 36ers fan tonight they certainly kept the crowd quiet for a good part of the night...a couple of well timed time outs by phil also slowed the pace when the cats looked like getting away (redhage was unstopable..remisnicent of the game a couple of years ago when dusty had a day out for 40 odd?

still got high hopes for the rest of the season.

Why do I fall for trusting that NBL live scores will work every year? The 'live' game they were broadcasting was completely different to the one that was actually played. Very annoying.

I think we did will all told, but I would have thought our best option defensively on Redhage would have been Mottram. Was he getting torched by Redhage to not get a look-in in the final term?

Boti was obviously in a hurry to get his report in to the editors (fair enough, since it was in Perth & finished late SA time) because he also mentioned Redhage had 40 shots, so must've taken it off the live stats. Dangerous reporting!

Not a terrible loss for the 6ers really. Perth are a tough unit & if Redhage is hitting 16/24, there's probably not a ton you can do since he's too big for any of our 2/3's to defend & too quick for any of our 4/5's. And if he's hitting 3's (4/5 last night) then that makes him even tougher to guard.

Chappell is starting to become a concern though. Obviously he wasn't going to come back from injury in tip-top form, but he really hasn't even shown a glimpse of potential yet. I wouldn't be giving him too much more than a fortnight to show something on the floor before looking at a replacement.

The usual result of that play would be to give the ball directly to the opposition, and not have an extra point to show for it.

The correct way to do it is to have Jordan coming from outside the three point line to put back your missed free throw. Unfortunately of course, even when Michael did it it was a violation.
