Lions on the prowl out north

Found this on the Centrals web site today.

Great to see some forward planning.

heard on the grapevine Whitmore has strengthened the squad with

Ben Todd
Matt Clarke (southern tigers)
Lauchlan Parker

one or two more to come and lions may at least roar a little bit louder than last season.

GROUNDHOG DAY!
Every year lions come on here and talk up how they are getting this and that player who will turn the whole club's fortunes around. All this, while other clubs are focussed on developing the future of our game and producing National calibre athletes. Get your house in order Centrals and stop holding back SA Basketball with your mediocrity.

Haven't seen him around for a while - same age group as Holmes, Ng. Lachlan was an outstanding contributor as a junior and into u 20's but since?

Lachlan went to Woodville from Centrals in U/20's I think. Great guy, played off the bench and got decent minutes with the mens team. Stopped in 2003. Also played State. He was athletic and could hit the 3. Quiet guy but wouldn't take a backwards step. Remember him and Paul Bauer getting into a scuffle one ABL game that kept the team amused for a while.
Great pick up for the team.

after 18's went to play for woodville only stayed a couple of years then stopped playing. lived out at balaklava could be fairly big gamble if he hasn't been playing for a while.

A team of Todd and Clarke at point,
Atkins and an injured Graves at the two, Parker and Clausen(when back from college) at 3, Puddifoot, Egel Reeves and Clayton as bigs.

Not a bad line up. Would not want any injuries. Possible finals team, no higher than 4th, no lower than 7th. If Graves does not play they will be light on scoring at guard. Really need another quality big and a fit and inform graves to challenge for the title, but certainly something for Whitmore to build on/ work with!

Thoughts?
