NH - Chris Judd to leave West Coast

Just when this year coulnt get any worse for the Eagles, it seems Chirs Judd is set to announce he is leaving the club.
It was announced on Melbourne SEN a little while ago.

Press conference shortly.

I would love to see him at Essendon, but Carlton is obviously going to be the front runner.

Not overly surprising as there was always the rumour but still it is major news

Carlton have more to offer West Coast. They can also secure him without trading anything as well.

Collingwood have come out and said they are out of the running.

He'll end up at Carlton or Essendon you would think.

The only way Carlton will have the #1 draft pick if West Coast fail to broker a trade....and that is not likely with all other Victorian sides chasing him

The only way I can see Judd in anything other than a Blues jumper is for one fo the big Melbourne clubs to trade for Carlton's number 1 choice.

OR

Make a ridiculous trade in which West Coast are the big winners (ie. Hawks trade Hodge and Franklin for Judd)

BUT, then again West Coast will go for the best possible deal and won't do what Port Adelaide did to Nick Stevens and get no compensation for him.

I think a possible trade for Carlton to offer could be Fevola and one of the two prioity picks.

Therefore the Blues get Judd and still keep one of their top draft choices.

WCE won't take Fevola. They don't need him.

I'd throw #1, #3, and a player to WCE for Judd. I would hesitate at #1, #3, and #20 for the ony player in case Judd pulls a Greg Oden.

Reasonable?

If any other clubs are smart they might end up with a Carlton draft pick if they can broker a 3 or 4 way deal. Apparently the kid coming out of the TAC Cup this year is the best kid to ever play in it or something.

Why would Carlton bother trying to Negotiate a trade? All they need to do is offer him the most cash and tell him to wait for the draft. All they lose then for him is their #1 draft pick.

West Coast are quite possibly about to lose the best player in the AFL for not even a cent.

He will go to Essendon.

Bombers will give up Paddy Ryder and Brent Stanton and the number 5 pick.

I would love to see Judd at the mighty Blues. That would be a good replacement for the retired Kouta. Lord knows they need someone like him.

I cannot see Carlton giving picks 1 and 3 and another player for Judd though. Maybe pick 1 or 3 and another player plus some cash.

Don't RICHMOND have the #1 pick in the pre-season draft? (the one in which he'd go into?)

I'm not sure whether Carlton can actually trade the priority pick (pick #1 in the national draft). I know the rule was floated a couple years ago it couldn't be, anyone know if it was passed?

Carlton wouldn't trade the number one pick anyway, I have a feeling they would offer the third pick + players.

Boys ...the rumor going around at carlton are that the Blues will offer the Eagles - Pick 3, Kennedy & Cash

Pratt wants results, and wants em fast

Depending on Whitnalls surgery, the Bulldogs are interested in him.....for late draft picks

Waites name has been mentioned as a possible name to trade as well

Cain Acklands time at Carlton will be short lived as well i have heard

I cant see Carlton giving up the No1 pick.....we need a ruckman.....and Kruezer is the perfect fit

Judd would be nice, but at this point a ruckman is the No1 requirement down at Optus Oval

Geez lockstock for a tigers fan and a man whose livelihood depends on attention to detail you seem to have forgotten their best run and carry player in Nathan Foley .
Judd will definitley not be a tiger next year , why ? beacause he wants to be on a team that is going somewhere and the tiges generally run around in circles chasing their own tails while their master spins wonderful stories about rerebuilding and 5 year plans.
