Dragons vs Breakers, inc Ryan Kersten
Saw Dragons play Breakers in Geelong tonight.
Can not see how Ryan Kersten was not used by Nth in ABA finals.

North won convincingly without disrupting their sync. They didn't need Kersten.

well how did kersten play? Any comments on how Rickert got 39 pts when someone on here listed him as most likely to get cut.
Yeah, the team were in great sync when Geelong smashed them by 30!!
Kersten looked very much at home against the big boys. Do not see him getting much court time as he is behind an import and a NZ National team player but working out with/against them will help.

the reason Kersten didnt play against Geelong was a request of NZ as they wanted him to be involved in prep with the NBL team. A deal that was agreed to by North and New Zealand when he signed with the breakers.

Breakers got up by 1 in overtime without Kirk Penney. Dragons without Matt Burston.
Rick Rickert had 39 points, 19 rebounds and five assists. Oscar Forman 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Nick Horvath 28 and 10 for the Dragons, Shane Heal 21, Jacob Holmes 20 points. Joe Ingles 5/10/6 plus four steals (2/10 from the field).
Kersten had 4 points and 1 assist in his 7 minutes. All Breakers got time.
Conn and Seebohm DNP for South.
Not what I have heard. Kersten could have come back to play Geelong but why would he as he apparently got them out of sync!!
Kersten not that important to NZ prep as he is one of the development players and not a key member of group.
