Lucas extended as Lightning head coach
The Adelaide QUIT Lightning Committee of Management announced on Monday that the contract of head coach, Chris Lucas, had been extended until the end of the 2005/06 season, with a further one year option for 2006/07.

Jan has been at most (if not all??) of the Lightning home games. Good to see her still supporting the girls.

I hear Jan is looking for positions on boards etc. She would be a great asset to any company with her people management, team building, public speaking and promotional skills.
Also the Australian Womens team job selection process is currently underway.

Considering the players from previous Lightning teams that have now retired or are playing in Europe, which left you with what is commonly referred to has a "rebuilding year" (aka - a coach's nightmare) AND considering the injuries to key players you've had this year, I think you deserve to be reappointed.
The Lightning girls play a very exciting style of basketball, and it's a credit to you, your coaching staff and to the Lightning players.
