How can the Tigers be in the Grand Final in reserves but cant even make the finals in ABA?
rotate on this

easy bully , they have alot of guys who can get the job done in the lower level , but very few who can consistently contribute at ABL standard
Reserve guys never got opportunities in ABL, obviously can get it done

I wonder if South will question Tim Hodges eligibility. The stats show he didn't play enough regular season games to qualify for finals. Better hope he had an injury and Southern let BSA know - else $1000 fine and a DQ.

If you have proof someone played under an assumed name, report it. Don't come on here and spread vicious gossip.......
South had mistakenly written Mark Fuller as M Turner it was corrected

So what about Tim Hodges, whats his story - was he legit or not? who can clarify?

According to Sporting Pulse he has played 12 games, which includes the semi final.
The minimum required is 50% of games.
There were 26 rounds, but only 24 games per team played, so should have played 12 in Minor Round to automatically qualify.
I assume he would have obtained a permit to play!

Tim was denied a game due to the Eastern forfeit.
This would have given him the minimum 12 game quota.
All the correct paperwork and procedure was completed prior to Tim suiting.
FACT!
Just thinking - why dont they make it simpler/fairer.
Teams should be able to play any players who have averaged less than half a game in ABA (24mins).
OR
Anyone who is not in the top five average minutes for their ABA team can play reserves finals.
The Tim Hodges thing seems a bit rough. He wasn't a regular starter or majority minute player for the ABA side so should be able to play reserves finals.
That way Norwood would not have been disqualified for a crappy rule where no one was being advantaged.

Tim also entered the season late, so perhaps also only had to play 50% of games after he returned from Italy. Aswell as the clearance for the Eastern forfeit.
The fact is that Southern bothered to get a clearence, but Norwood did not... pretty simple really. BSA are usually pretty accomadating when it comes to letting people play due to various reasons for them not being able to play the correct number of games to qualify, as long as the club writes a letter for permission and that their reason reasonable.
If Norwood wrote to BSA there is no doubt what so ever that Webber would have been able to play, just laziness on Norwoods behalf...could have cost them a reserve championship!
All everyone needs to know is Tiggers are going to be Champs and everything else is just a detail. Best Defence in the leauge. Kept South to 5 points in the first quarter Tuesday night

Go the tigers!!
Adam Peck is a double decker, he is going for back to back reserve titles, last year with south this year with the tigers.
If some of these SBL clubs could open there eyes, they would give the bloke a shot, he certainly cannot do any worse than some of the jokes currently in head coaching roles in the league.
The sixers should finally can Phil's a$$ and get a young bloke in who has enthusiasm and some good ideas on offence and defence and is not just there to get his $200k.
Newley was never going to play for the sixers and now who are we getting as a replacement, neil mottram, yeah good effort phil, you clown!!!
