Schenscher to trial with Sacramento

It seems as though Schensch has been invited by the Kings to play on their summer league team.

"After receiving a phone call from the Sacramento last night, 213cm centre Luke Schenscher departed Australia early this morning to play for the Kings in the NBA Summer camp.

Schenscher played 11 games for Portland last season and was looking forward to heading back to the Trailblazers later this year however they have the Number One Draft Pick and look set to recruit sensation Greg Oden, a centre from Ohio State."

Considering whose wedding it is, that's a pretty good excuse...

Tough timing though. Two friends from AIS days seven years ago getting married on Saturday, and he gets called over for a trial.

Good luck Luke.

For his size he needs to be a lot more aggresive at the ring in the NBA when he takes a offensive board etc. He HAS to try and dunk instead of those bullshit little layups and makes ure of the points, put a little stamp on the game and make them foul him to stop scoring.

To dunk he needs to be able to jump! Can't see him ever making the NBA. I don't think he has what it takes to dominate the NBL. Could see him having a 15 point 10 rebound career in the NBL. Too uncoordinated, to weak, can't run, can't jump, can't shoot. The only thing he has going for him are he is bloody tall and can change other players shots, and is not a bad passer out of the block. Can guard other pure centres with similar mobility but anyone with any sort or speed or strength is too tough for him. wish him good luch but don't rate his chances at all.

You can't ever see him making the NBA, eventhough he spent the last two years playing in it?

Interesting.....
