I see that with Gordie taking over as head coach while Brian was ill the manager stepped up to ass coach. Does this mean there is only 1 ass away? What happened to the other two?

Interesting! I thought they were doing really well and maybe the Gorj had been part of their success as a coach. Interesting that they are having such a good tournament with Geordie at the helm.
Its the old case of it helps to coach at the level if you played at the level. Geordie has represented Australia as a player.
Having said that, whatever is wrong with Gorj can't be good. Hope he gets better!

The Boomers have won all their games over there and this was the first game Goorjian has missed in something like 750 games?
The virus has also hit Brad Robbins.
The Boomers won regardless, beating Croatia 82-79.
Oscar said last night that he didn't think the virus came from something that eaten over there (atypical symptoms) but might've come from Sydney - it's hit Crosswhite, Robbins, Goorjian, Forman and not sure who else.
Nic Mercer acted as Gordie's assistant in last night's game.

Who really cares his record is the worst of any coach to coach australia.Lost to New zealand at home they sacked Smyth for that give the job to Mcleod get rid of Derwent and Maddock and people may get interested in this team again.
