Technical Assistant what has happened to it?

Heard a rumor that the Sixers Technical Assistant role isnt happening anymore?
Does anyone know if this is correct?
Seems like a weird decision after they went through the process and after talking about the need for it.
if true was it a case of not enough decent applicants?

Last I heard was that the position had been filled, just working out the finer details of the role and how it will work this season.
