Its disgraceful and purely a case of doing a job without passion. If he had any interest whatsoever in basketball, he would realise the extent of his error, an error not only in the body of the article but the heading. The message that it screams at the readers is "I'm a dick".

relax EC. More often than not it's the case of Editors error.

I used to e-mail Boti if there was an error in his stuff and as was the case when the story left him it was correct, but after going through the editors it would be changed.

Your quick-to-judge attitude and lack of research into Zac's basketball background and knowledge demonstrates your small mindedness.

Before posting EC, take a deep breath and consider other alternatives.

Didn't there used to be an Adelaide Opals?? I think in the early WNBL days we had 2 teams and one was called the opals I am sure?

Adelaide Opals I think were basically an "Academy" team just like the "Buffalo's" were for the Sixers and were playing in the SEABL during the early 90's. Played a number of home games at Morphett Vale.

EC,

If YOU read the article, you would note that "Opals" is in reference to the Australian Women's National Team - the Opals!! ie Jackson "the Opals centre" and "Opals pair Jenny Whittle and Hollie Grima". Everwhere Zac references Adelaide, it's as the "Lightning".

Everyone also knows that the writers don't write the headlines.

The message your post screams is "EC is a dick".

Giraffe 96, I base my opinion on other instances in the past where his articles showed a complete lack of knowledge of the topic he iswriting about. I think its an insult to the people who do have a passion for basketball to read such nonsense in the newspaper.
