NZ NBL imports bail on team

NZ NBL team, the Auckland Stars, have been left a little in the lurch after both of their imports (Tashaan Forehan-Kelly and Daniel Lambert) bailed on the team the day before a game on the road.

Seems that the two were cooperatively bargaining for things outside of their existing contracts and the Stars, after meeting some requests, would not comply with the full ransom.

The Stars have a 7-2 record, good for top spot (points, not win% - the Heat are still 6-0) on the NZ NBL ladder. Hit KiwiHoops for more.

Maybe ex-Panthers player Ken Carter could help them out?

the reason they left is because of a lack of money-this is because the nznbl is not a finacially strong league. Usually, even top rate imports would only get 500 dollars a week as well as a vehicle and accomodation
