Definitely time for him to retire! Thats part of the problem with this league, old guys that only have a jump shot left in there arsenal can still get a gig!

teams that struggle like WS and Slingers cant afford not to look at that type of experience, something that takes time to produce

Supposedly Stewart said yes to the office job with Cairns as a fall-back, but is fielding other offers to play on.

His best offer to date has been from the Slingers.

Hope this does not mean that Aaron Thrahair will not be back.

Could indicate Melmeth is convincing Aaron to join him at GC.

Seems like Slingers are trying to fill the SG spot with australians - eg Stewart and Cedar as back up or at least that they are preparing in case Helms does not come back from Germany. Looking at the Stats from the 49'ers Helms does not seems to enjoy life much in Germany so maybe he is notyet out of the picture for the Slingers ?

NZ also in the mix. I think their former assistant may be doign some work with Stewart's SEABL side.

Stewart would be strictly a SG, right? If NZ were going for him, that makes them a bit guard heavy. Backs up Olson, but then only leaves Charleton backing up Forman? Need more in the paint.

What.... The Breakers Sacked that coach 2 years ago.... Why would an Ex-Coach being an ABA Assistant Coach after being away from the club for over 2 years put them in the mix?

Plus the Breakers are already guard heavy...

Just a small point. in the NBL Stewie has always been assigned the defensive duties on the oppositions current gun offensive player. He's fairly accountable in that role.

Correct, name is Wayne Brown, sat on the bench with the Chargers in last Monday's game.
