How is that BASA discriminates between male and female with the last junior age group? If wo9men U21 introduced, the same reasoning will more than likely apply for the men. That competition should also be U21. I think BASA needs to be careful in its classifications of age groups. Anybody have thoughts?

U21s was introduced as the under 20 Womens comp needed more players. There was basically one division of U20 Womens teams last season.
The U20 Men have not had that problem.

true, there is 10 teams in div1 and 2 this season and 6 in div 3. the mens have enough teams to keep it under 20's. thats y they r different.

There's like 14 or so teams in u/21 div 1 and 2. In my team, 2 player's wouldn't be playing if the grade was u/20's. I have come across teams so far this season, where at least half of the players wouldn't fit into u/20's. It's a good decision to promote chick's basketball... otherwise there probably wouldn't be a u/20 div.2 competition, and the div.1 comp would struggle.
I don't think there's much of a problem with recruitment for the blokes. For example, at my club, there is 3 blokes teams in 20's, compared to 1 in the chicks.

The girls at this age (except the ones who are gonna go all the way) tend to lose interest... i think its a good idea that its u21s for girls. imagine how many men would be playing in u21s? it'd be crazy.
