just found out from an ever reliable source that Dragons have just signed Cortez. and he's "excited" to be playing with Jingles. who wouldnt be!?! anyone visualising a few alley-oops between the two..or at least TO them from Luke Martin even. Dragons now have Jingles, Hammer, Jacob, Martin & Cortez. Looks exciting..fair to say more so than the 36ers squad at present!!!!

Also says in the paper that Jacob is a good chance to captain the Dragons as well...I dare say after the tool retires again, but great for Jacob.

i was hoping jacob would become captain of the sixers once brett retires in two years
dragons team looking pretty nice cortez, hammer, holmes, jingles, martin. i also heard that they were chasing pepper and abney pretty hard, and i think they still have options on drmic, quick and burston.
possible dragons team 07/08 and their points
PG - Heal 9/Martin 4
SG - Cortez 10/Stefan Blaszczynski 3
SF - Holmes 8/ Jingles 1(9)
PF - Abney 10/ Drmic 7
C - Pepper 10/ Burston 6
68 points and a pretty decent team to.

Drmic won't be there and Hobba will be in the 10.
Hill must be a development spot.
I'm not convinced that they shouldn't bring Ellis back as PF if they get Pepper. He was the Soul of that team last season and that will be hard to replace.

Hawks have shown interest I think.
Could also suit New Zealand who need a PG/SG blend and a bit of defense.

Let's hope sixers sign someone like Cortez, I dont know if we were ever in the hunt for him but we need a player who can penetrate the defense and slam it down. Fingers crossed Newly signs

Groves isnt a game winner. Over rated IMO. Glad Sixers didnt get him.
