Bucks fire Stotts

Andrew Bogut's NBA coach has got the boot in a move many Australian fans might find interesting - a good number of people hold Stotts partly responsible for Bogut's lack of scoring opportunities with the Bucks.

Terry Stotts was fired Wednesday as coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, who are struggling this season after injuries to key players.

Terry Stotts' Coaching Record
Terry Stotts has never had a winning record in his NBA coaching career. He's 115-168 overall with a 1-4 playoff mark.
Year Team Record Playoffs
2002-03 ATL 24-31 None
2003-04 ATL 28-54 None
2005-06 MIL 40-42 1-4
2006-07 MIL 23-41 None

An interim coach was not announced for Thursday night's against San Antonio, general manager Larry Harris said.

"Terry has done the best he could in a difficult situation, especially with all of our injuries," Harris said of his coach for less than two seasons. "I felt it was in the best interest of our organization to make the decision now and move forward, rather than wait until the end of the regular season."

Sucked in to Stotts; he was a dud coach.

Time to trade Redd and his 50 shots a game, anyone can score 27 PPG if you shot it 50 time.

Bucks assistant coach Larry Krystkowiak will take over for Stotts, who spent less than two full seasons with the team.
"Larry Krystkowiak brings the same competitive fire from his days as a player to his work on the sidelines and on the practice court as a coach," Harris said in a statement. "His knowledge of the game and his ability to work well with players is a tremendous asset to our organization. He also has a successful track record as a head coach in both the college ranks and the CBA. We're excited to move ahead with Larry as our new head coach."

Krystkowiak spent nine seasons in the NBA, playing with the Bucks from 1987-92. He missed the 90-91 season after suffering a horrific knee injury in the playoffs the season before. He cemented his status as a fan favorite by pumping his fist as he was wheeled off the court.
ESPN's Marc Stein says that the Bucks grabbed him before he bolted for the University of Utah.
