Schenscher Signed By Portland To 10-Day

Breaking news, just saw it while browsing realgm. This is great news for Luke. Article says that the blazers in need of front court help after Przybilla and LaFrentz got injured. Hopefully he gets signed up for the rest of the season. How do you think he will go?

Hard to tell - depends on how he has been working out and developing. As far as i know the big rub on him as far as far as stuff he could work on was his strength (he can`t change the fact that he is one step slow) - by all accounts he has worked on this in the off season and hopefully getting PT in the NBDL has given him the polish he needs - now he just needs to get the PT in Portland...

Does throw a dampner on him being a sixer though as it will proove to him that staying in the NBDL is a good way to stay in touch with the NBA

Congratulations Luke!

Why'd the Jailblazer cross the road?
To get in a fight with a complete stranger for no reason.

Looks like the Blazers heard Phil and Steve were on the way so signed up the big guy before he could be talked into a 'spot in the 13' with the Sixers ;)

Why would Luke want to come back and play for the 36ers when the coach doesn't even know how to use a big guy.

We had Horvath in the middle last year and he never got the ball, so when he did get it passed to him he had to shoot it cause he wasn't sure when he was going to get it again.

How is he going to develop back here, he would be better off in the development league or in Europe and thats without the financial consideration.

Great news for Luke, he is a cut above the NBL. And for SA basketball as a whole, this is a positive!

Schenscher reminds me of a giant Napoleon Dynamite....

It's a good signing for both Luke and the Blazers, fingers crossed he can stick with the team.

Its only a 10 day contract......doesnt guarantee his signing for a season and I dont think this will phase Phil....he could still sign with the sixers on the proviso he doesnt get a gig in the Show.

I think we're all treading on dangerously thin legal ice by not referring to this as a "Gatorade call up".

So in other words, Schensch would dominate the NBL beyond all that are in the league?! C'mon Kobe24 - get a grip and lets see what the big man can do in our national league before we put him a cut above the rest.
