Personally I was amazed at the amount of contact Brisbane got away withl I was under the impression hand checking was against the rules and using two hands was an automatic foul. Of more concern was the fact that the three refs on tonights match were probably the best three in the country right now.

For them to allow that much contact was amazing to me. Two of the three are heavily involved in referee education and IMO have failed to act on what they teach.

I never made reference to the salary cap......im sure many teams in the the past have done it

Exactly DB5 - while I agree that the Tigers copped a heap of hand and body checking last night while bringing the ball up surely someone on their team needed to step up and set a massive screen on Black (has now taken over from Hill as my most hated playeer) and sit him on his arse!
It would have at least showed they were not going to put up with the Bullets defensive tactics!

I like his shooting, but hate his game...always grabbing singlets, pushing players into screens, or team mates...reminds me of the defence Stockton used to try.

Has anyone heard anything more on Bruton's injury? I only heard about it on a very brief sports wrap on the radio this morning. All they said was it was a knee injury. Don't know if he's out or not.

it looked bad last night when Dench had all his weight behind him diving for the ball, and put his shoulder right into Bruton's knee/shin. Watching it I thought he's gone, but he came back on in the fourth after icing it and played well on it...sweet round the back assist to Mckinnon running full tilt.
Not sure if he will play or not though.

I thought it was Anstey who fell on Bruton's knee....

So did I Clarky, but they reported it as Dench later in the game, um...it was definately a Tiger.....
