Is Luke still an NBA chance this year?

Andres Nocioni may be out for the rest of the season fo the Bulls, which may open the door for Luke...

"But the Bulls are partial to players who know their system, which would make Davis and Luke Schenscher logical candidates if they were to make a move.
A more intriguing possibility would be Toni Kukoc, who hasn't played this season after the only two teams he expressed a desire to play forMilwaukee and the Bullsdidn't show interest last summer."

If this happens, it really opens the door up for him again, after not getting a chance this year, and playing pretty well in the NBDL. Thoughts?

Skiles has already ruled out Luke... I can`t see the guy making it in the NBA at this stage... 10 day contracts don`t maketh a career... He`d be better advised getting a proper contract in a foreign league and seeing how the cards line up after that, if he`s good enough he will make it and if not at least he has the $$$ (or Euros) to live decently - as in the NBDL he makes jack...

Don't take this the wrong way but unless he actually doesn't have enough game to show long term consistency. It looks like his management team are trying to con NAB executives into giving him a guaranteed contract from his college form and short time at the Bulls.

His NBA development numbers are far from outstanding and nothing to right home about 9 PPG and 6 RPG.

Would he put up 20 PPG and 10 RPG in the NBL? That's what he should be looking at.

I reckon 15 and 10. Why wouldn't he just try Europe as a backup plan?

The NBDL is a very unique and 'different' league. They get guys come down and take other guys spots for 10 games at a time, which can really effect a teams cohesion. Its a Dog eat dog league. Point being, hard for Luke to get really dominant stats, as most guards would prefer to penetrate themselves than get team mates involved. Winning is one thing, but in this particular league every player is out for his own.

Surely you'd look at a young Luke, compared to Kukoc. All he may have to do is draw that one charge against a Shaq (like last post season), and it could turn a series. Kukoc was a great player, but he is slow now, and his particular style has been scouted to death!
