Fouled Out

What' the criticisism about players getting fouls?
Many seem to be 50/50 calls, depending on the refs on the night.
If a player sits back with 'no balls', he is blasted on here for no heart, but a player who puts his heart into it and draws fouls is critised.
Where do we draw the line? Happens in all grades.

I want to watch smart players, that foul when they need to, and know when to just play hard, smart defense without fouling.

At the moment I am watching guys playing dumb basketball and making stupid fouls. Whats the point of putting your heart into a game if that only equates to fouls, instead of tough D?

Sure, I dont like it when players sit back and play soft - but playing dumb is just as bad.
