Nicki Thompson is originally from NZ but has spent the last couple years (??) playing ABA in Cairns for the Dolphins. She was asked by the Lightning coach Chris Lucas to play, im not sure how he got in contact with her or why he chose her specifically. I think she is living with Rupert Sapwell while she is in Adelaide
